Scholarship Description
Anglia Ruskin University is happy to offer a number of scholarships for international students, one of which is the International Excellence Scholarship (undergraduate and postgraduate).

This International Excellence Scholarship is available to full-time students studying a bachelor or postgraduate taught level qualification for a duration of 3 years or equivalent time taken to complete the qualification (foundation and extended degrees are exempt).

Please note this International Excellence Scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarships or the £1,000 early payment discount. Up to 30 awards of £4000 will be awarded towards the first year of full time study (undergraduate and postgraduate taught).

Academic qualifications:
  • Students applying for an undergraduate award should have achieved ABB grades or above at A-level (or international equivalent qualification).
  • Students applying for a postgraduate award should hold a 2:1 degree qualification (or equivalent international qualification).

As well as looking at academic excellence, we’re interested in why you want to study at ARU, your career goals, work experience, and relevant activities you take part in outside of your studies (extra curricula activity). We’ll ask you to complete an application which will include a supporting statement when you apply for the scholarship.

Students achieving the equivalent to a minimum of three A levels at B for Undergraduate courses or above or a 2:1 or above for Postgraduate courses will be considered. Your motivation to study at ARU and relevant extra curricula activity or work experience will be assessed. This will be assessed from your personal statement.

The deadline for applications is 13 July 2018 for September 2018 starts, or 30 November 2018 for January 2019 starts

PLEASE NOTE:
Students achieving this award will be notified no later than the 31 July 2017. The awardees will be selected at the discretion of the International Admissions Team. Please also note that this scholarship can not be combined with any other scholarships or early payment discounts.

Anglia Ruskin University is a public university in East Anglia, United Kingdom. It has campuses in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Peterborough and London. It also shares campuses with the College of West Anglia in King's Lynn, Wisbech and Cambridge. The school has its origins in the Cambridge School of Art, founded in 1858. Scholarship Description
Every year, the Turkish Government offers the Türkiye Scholarships for undergraduate, master and PhD programmes to foreign students to study in Turkey. The current call and application cycle will receive all undergraduate, master and PhD programme applications in one cycle.

Türkiye Scholarships are government-funded, competitive scholarships, awarded to outstanding applicants from countries outside Turkey to pursue a full-time degree and short-term programmes at prestigious universities in Turkey.

Eligibility
To be eligible for Undergraduate Programmes, applicants must:
  • be a citizen of a country other than Turkey (Anyone holding or ever held Turkish citizenship before cannot apply),
  • not be a registered student in Turkish universities at the level of study they are applying,
  • have graduated or are likely to graduate from a secondary education institution,
  • be under the age of 21 (no earlier than 01.01.1996),
  • have at least specified (% 90 for medical sciences, % 70 for other undergraduate programs) cumulative grade point average, diploma grade, national exam or international exam score,
  • be in good health
To be eligible for Postgraduate Programmes, applicants must:
  • be a citizen of a country other than Turkey (Anyone holding or ever held Turkish citizenship before cannot apply)
  • not be a registered student in Turkish universities at the level of study they are applying.
  • be a bachelor’s or master’s degree holder by 30th of July 2018 at the latest
  • be under the age of 30 for master’s programmes (no earlier than 01.01.1987)
  • be under the age of 35 for doctorate programmes (no earlier than 01.01.1982)
  • have at least 75 % cumulative grade point average or diploma grade over their maximum graduation grade or have at least 75 % success in any accepted national or international graduate admissions test.
  • be in good health
Language requirements:
Most programmes in Turkish universities are instructed in Turkish. However, some departments and universities offer programmes in English or French. The candidates who want to study in these languages need to have an internationally recognized certificate to prove their language proficiency.

Also, most of these foreign language programmes may ask international admission test scores such as GRE, GMAT etc.

Candidates can check the language of instruction while selecting the programmes. All Türkiye Scholarship winners who do not have C1 Level Certificate for Turkish Proficiency (including those who are placed into English or French-taught programmes) must attend 1-year Turkish Preparatory Course.

Scholarship Description
The Korean Government through the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) offers the Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) for undergraduate programs (KGSP-U) at approved schools.

The scholarship program supports the future global leaders and promotes the international cooperation in education by inviting talented international students to Korea for an opportunity to conduct advanced studies at higher educational institutions in Korea.

The Government of Korea invites all international students who wish to pursue an undergraduate degree course in Korea to apply for the Korean Government Scholarships (Undergraduate program). Undergraduate applications to study in Korea start September 2017.

Eligibility
Prospective applicant must meet the following qualification criteria: 
  1. Must be a citizen of the country to which scholarships are offered, which also applies to applicant's parents. Note: Both applicant and his/her parents must NOT be a holder of Korean citizenship
  2. Have graduated or be scheduled to graduate from high school as of March 1st of the invitation year
  3. Must possess above 80% (out of 100%) cumulative grade point average (CGPA), or must be within the top 20% (out of 100%) in rank in high school.
There may be preferential selection for applicants who have proficiency in Korean or English

The undergraduate scholarship covers:

  • Monthly Allowance: 800,000 KRW per month
  • Settlement (i.e Relocation) Allowance: 200,000 KRW upon arrival

  • Tuition: All admission fees are waived by the host institution (university). The tuition is covered by NIIED and the university.
  • Medical Insurance: 20,000 KRW per month (limited coverage)

Method of Application
You cannot apply directly to NIIED. Applicants submit their applications either to the Korean Embassies around the world or to the partnering universities in Korea (i.e. 1st Selection Institutions). You should contact one of the 1st Selection Institutions (90 Overseas Korean Embassies or designated Korean Universities) and submit your application no later than the designated deadline. In this 1st round of selection, these 1st Selection Institutions select and forward successful candidates to NIIED (the 2nd selection Institution). Applications SHOULD be made through these 1st selection organizations. Applications DIRECTLY FROM AN APPLICANT or THROUGH FOREIGN EMBASSIES IN KOREA are NOT accepted.

DEADLINES:
The deadline for recommendation of applications by 1st Selection Institutions to NIIED for Undergraduate Program is October - November every year. The deadline for applicants' submission to 1st Selection Institutions is much earlier and will vary per country depending on the deadline set forth by the Korean Embassy (Consulate) in the country of origin or the universities in Korea.

For 2018/2019 session, the Korean Embassies or Consulates, and participating Universities, recommend qualified candidates to NIIED by October - November 2017. Be sure to apply before this period. Applications open September 2017.

PLEASE NOTE:
As for detailed information on application deadlines and submission of required documents, applicants should contact the APPROPRIATE KOREAN EMBASSY or CONSULATE in the country of applicant’s origin (or in the neighboring country), the 1st selection organization.

If the respective 1st Selection Institutions do not submit their candidates’ documents to NIIED on time, they will be excluded from the examination of NIIED Selection Committee, and their quotas will be substituted by the other 1st Institutions’ reserve candidates.

Applicants must obtain admission from a University before entry into Korea. Applicants recommended by a Korean Embassy (Consulate) or overseas Korean adoptees must apply and gain admission into 1 of 3 of the designated universities. Applicants recommended by a university in Korea should enter the same university.

The Lagos State Scholarship Board, LSSB, as the agency in charge of scholarship, bursary and other related matters within the state, grants scholarship awards to deserving indigenes in various tertiary institutions for full time studies in order to assist these students financially.

Application is now open for the 2016 Lagos State Undergraduate Scholarship Award for students in tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

Applicant must be a Lagos State Indigene studying in any tertiary institutions across the country.

SELECTION CRITERIA AND ELIGIBILITY:
1). All applicants must have gained full time admission into an accredited Nigerian tertiary Institution.

2). All Under-graduate applicants:

All applicants are required to make a Payment of N2,000.00 for Local Scholarship through the Revenue Office of the Lagos State Scholarship Board. Then take the treasury receipt to the Lagos State Scholarship Board to secure their secret voucher PINs for online application. Application will not be processed without evidence of treasury receipt.

The Local Scholarship Award, offered by the Lagos state government via its State Scholarship Board, is for prospective students of Lagos State origin except otherwise directed by His Excellency, the Governor of Lagos state. The scholarship award was resuscitated in 2002. Students should be on full-time and not part-time studies to benefit from these awards.

The Lagos State Scholarship Board (LSSB) is one of the earliest agencies established shortly after the creation of the state. It was constituted through Executive Council Memorandum No LSEC (68) as an advisory and implementation organ on Scholarship awards. Newcastle University is pleased to offer the Vice Chancellor's International Scholarships for international students who intend to start and pursue their studies at Newcastle.

Newcastle University offers these partial scholarship awards to encourage applicants assessed as international for fees purposes to undertake Undergraduate and Master’s level study. Each award is worth £3,000 for one year payable to the student’s tuition fee account.

The University will consider each individual application and allocate scholarships based on its strategic and diversity priorities. All eligible intending applicants are encouraged to apply for the Vice Chancellor's International Scholarships by following the procedure laid down on this page.


Newcastle University Vice Chancellor's International Scholarships

Eligibility
Applicants can only apply and be considered for a Vice-Chancellor’s International scholarship after they have been offered a place to study on their chosen degree course and have been assessed as international for fees purposes. They must also be:
  • registered at Newcastle University for the 2017/18 academic year.
  • registered for one of the following eligible courses:
Undergraduate - All undergraduate degrees including integrated Masters
Masters - MA; MArch; MBA; MClinDent; MClinRes; MEd; MFA; MMedEd; LLM; LLM (by research); MLitt; MMus; MPH; MRes; MSc
  • wholly or partially self-financing
  • defined as ‘international’ for fee purposes
  • registered to study at Newcastle University city centre campus
  • students new to the University and not those transferring or repeating courses.
Applicants should note that the following students are not eligible to receive Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships:
  • UK or EU students assessed as ‘home’ for fee purposes.
  • MPhil, doctoral (eg,PhD, Integrated PhD, EngD, DClinPych), Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma, Newcastle University intercalating students or placement, study abroad or exchange students. MSc Hydroinfomatics and Water Management (Euro Aquae) students are not eligible for this award.
  • holders of fully-funded scholarships (full payment of fees and living expenses) such as Chevening Scholarships, Commonwealth Scholarships or other fully sponsored awards.
  • students in receipt of India Great Scholarships or Santander Scholarships
  • pathway students progressing to the University from INTO Newcastle
  • current students, registered in 2016/17 or earlier, who have already commenced Undergraduate or Masters’ studies at the time of award: awards cannot be made retrospectively
  • applicants initially assessed as international for fee purposes but whose fees change to ‘home’.

Number of awards 
The scholarships are divided throughout Humber's three semesters (September, January and May intakes) each year. 

Several positions of full and partial awards are offered each year, as shown below:
  • Renewable FULL tuition scholarships - 2 positions in September and 1 position in January
  • Renewable PARTIAL tuition scholarships - 2 positions in September and 1 in January
  • Non-renewable ONE TIME scholarships - 10 for September, 8 for January and 2 for May intakes
Sponsorship duration
Award is for the whole duration of program of study. Renewal of the scholarship will be based on the student’s ability to maintain a 75% GPA in each year of his/her program at Humber.

Scholarship benefits
Full tuition (approximate value of $12,800 CAD) and partial tuition (worth $5,000) renewable scholarships are available for both September and January semesters. The scholarships will be applied toward the successful students’ tuition fees.

Method of Application 
The scholarship application instructions and forms will be included with your acceptance package which you will receive once you have been accepted for admissions. Therefore, you must first apply for admissions before you can apply for the scholarship.

DEADLINES:
International students are encouraged to submit their applications by September 30, 2016 (for January 2017 intake), February 3, 2017 (for May 2017 intake) and May 19, 2017 (for September 2017 intake).
