SAMSUNG GALAXY 8 COULD BE THE FASTEST SMARTPHONE

SAMSUNG confirms it is working with mobile experts Qualcomm on a super-fast chip which could appear in its next smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is set to be the most powerful Android smartphone ever.
Scheduled to be revealed early next year, the next flagship device from Samsung should pack in a bigger and brighter screen, more detailed camera, and extremely powerful hardware.
This last part may have fallen in to place today, as the company has revealed it is now helping out with the latest top mobile processor with Qualcomm.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 could be a powerful beast
Qualcomm, whose Snapdragon chips can be found in many of the world's top Android smartphones, has now confirmed its next chip - the Snapdragon 835.
Set to be the most powerful to date, packing in major improvements in computing power, battery life and more, the Snapdragon 835 should start to appear in new phones next year.
Although we'll only find out exactly how powerful the Snapdragon 835 is at CES 2017 in January, when Qualcomm will reveal more about its next top product, one crucial detail has been revealed this week.

The Snapdragon 835 is Qualcomm's slimmest chip ever, at just 10nm thick
Qualcomm is now working with Samsung to manufacture the Snapdragon 835, which is the company's first ever 10 nanometre chip.
This makes it one of the thinnest mobile processors around today - signficiantly thinner than a piece of paper or even a human hair.
This slim build is incredibly important when designing next-generation smartphones, as it means companies can plan thinner devices, allowing for bigger batteries and more hardware features.
The first devices to feature the Snapdragon 835 should appear in the first quarter of 2017, meaning that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is a prime candidate.
Rumours are continuing to build around Samsung's next flagship smartphone, which could also feature a completely new design.
Reports have claimed that Samsung is set to reveal two new devices, with the standard Samsung Galaxy S8 coming with a 5.7 inch screen, a significant upgrade on the current flagship device, the 5.1 inch Galaxy S7.
There will also be a larger device, the Galaxy S8 plus, which may be the company's biggest device to date, reportedly sporting a 6.2 inch nearly edge-to-edge display.

However Samsung fans may have slightly longer to wait for their next upgrade.
The company normally reveals its new flagship at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, most recently the Galaxy S7 back in March.
However sources now claim that Samsung is now taking extra care to avoid a repeat of the fiasco surrounding the Galaxy Note 7 launch.
Samsung was criticised after reports suggested it had rushed out the Note 7 without proper testing in order to capitalise on consumer anticipation.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is also reportedly set to come with a super-smart AI voice assistant called Viv as Samsung takes on the likes of Apple and Google.
An intelligent and powerful assistant integrated into Samsung's array of gadgets – Gear S watches, Galaxy smartphones, Smart TVs, and more – would help the South Korean firm against increased competition from the Google Assistant, Apple's Siri and Amazon's Alexa.
Launching such a service would also allow Samsung to reduce its dependence on Google services.
Samsung is also expected to follow Apple and ditch the industry-standard 3.5mm headphone port.
