Scholarship Description:
Sciences Po created the Emile Boutmy Scholarship after the founder of Sciences Po (1871) in order to attract the very best international students from outside of the European Union.

The Emile Boutmy Scholarship is awarded to top international students who are applying to or previously admitted at Sciences Po University, and whose profile match the admissions priorities and individual course requirements of the school.

Eligible applicants are now encouraged for the 2017/2018 Emile-Boutmy Scholarships


Eligibility
Eligible students must:
  • Have achieved the equivalent of a British 1st in an undergraduate degree
  • Hold an unconditional offer or a conditional offer where IELTS or equivalent English language is the only condition
  • Be a new student to UWE Bristol with no previous UK study
  • Be classed as overseas for fees purposes
  • Not be a sponsored student or in receipt of another scholarship/award
  • Provide official transcripts at the time of application
Specific Criteria:
Applicants will need to provide information in their application detailing how the scholarship will help them to attain the Millennium Development goals within their country.

This is a FULL tuition award - it will last throughout duration of programme

Scholarship benefits
Full tuition fee scholarship will be awarded for an outstanding student to study a one year Masters programme at UWE. 

The recipient of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Development Office and other departments, and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.

Method of Application
You must have received an unconditional offer for a Master’s Programme at UWE before you can apply for this scholarship. Applicants will need to provide information in their application detailing how the scholarship will help them to attain the Millennium Development goals within their country.

Applications can be made via a task in applicant’s Welcome website by the deadline date below. Only eligible applicants will be invited to apply via a task in their welcome website. Applicants are selected based on academic merit and the information that is provided in their application form and statement.

DEADLINES:
The deadline for submitting your application for the January 2017 intake is 13 November 2016; while that for the September 2017 intake is March 2017(exact date yet to be advised).

The University of the West of England, also known as UWE Bristol, or simply UWE (pronounced "you-we") is a university based in the British city of Bristol. Its main campus is at Frenchay in Bristol, about five miles (8 km) north of the city centre. UWE also has campuses at St Matthias and Glenside in north-east Bristol and Bower Ashton, near Ashton Court in south-west Bristol.

UWE is the larger of the two universities in Bristol, the other being the longer established University of Bristol.
