Scholarship Description
The Eiffel Scholarship, the main French Government scholarship, bolsters recruiting of top foreign and international students by French schools of higher education at a time when competition for such students is growing among developed countries.

Although the EIFFEL scholarship for candidates working in emerging countries is offered to non-French nationals, it is important to note that applications from students currently studying outside France will be given priority over those from students already studying in France.

HEC reserves the right to submit only those candidates it feels best qualified for the Eiffel Scholarship as the award is particularly competitive and prestigious. 

Eligibility
These conditions of eligibility must be met:
  • Only admitted candidates (Full-time option) can apply for this scholarship.
  • Candidates aged 30 years old or less
  • Non-French nationality candidates only (applicants with dual nationality, one of which is French, are not eligible).
Non-Eligible: 
  • Candidates who have already been awarded the Eiffel scholarship at master’s level (not eligible at the same level, but can nevertheless reapply at a doctoral level)
  • Applications from candidates who have applied previously and been rejected, even if they are submitted by a different establishment or in another field of study.
N.B.: The Eiffel scholarship is not cumulative with any other French government scholarship or award.

Scholarship benefits
The Eiffel Scholarship provides participants with a monthly allowance of €1100 and covers additional expenses including travel, health insurance and cultural activities. Tuition fees are not covered by the scholarship.

The application deadline for the HEC MBA course is on a rolling basis throughout the year. The deadline for application to the Eiffel scholarship is within 1 week of your admission. No essay required.

Scholarship Description
The French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs launched the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme in January 1999 as a tool to support French higher education institutions to attract the best foreign students for master’s and PhD degree programs.

The programme helps to train future foreign policy makers, from the private and public sectors, in education priority areas, and encourage applications from students from developing, emerging and industrialized countries to obtain a master’s and a doctorate in relevant courses.

The Eiffel excellence program offers two components: (1) A Master component which helps fund a master level degree course from 12 to 36 months and (2) A Ph.D. component to fund mobility programs for 10 months under a thesis joint supervision or co-tutorship (preferably for the second doctoral year).
Eligibility
The scholarships are aimed at overseas students whose talents and abilities have been recognized by French higher education establishments wishing to attract them to pursue their studies. Only foreign nationals are eligible to apply for a scholarship from the French Government.

The following are eligible:
  • Nationality: This program is for candidates of foreign nationality. In the case of dual nationality applicants, those with French nationality are not eligible.
  • Age: for programs leading to a master’s degree level, applicants must be at most 30 years old at the date of the selection committee; for PhD applicants, candidates must be aged at most 35 years old on the date of the selection committee.
  • Origin of applications: Only applications sent by the French institutions are admissible.
  • The training involved: Eligible candidates are likely to incorporate a training course of master level attested by a diploma, including engineering school, and PhD candidates. The French trainings relocated abroad are not affected, fellows, non doctoral, having to perform at least 75% of their studies in France.
  • Concurrent scholarships: Foreign students already receiving a scholarship from the French government for another program at the time of filing the application are not eligible, even if it is a scholarship that supports social coverage.
  • For Eiffel Doctoral Scholarship: an applicant who has already received an Eiffel scholarship under his PhD may not represent his candidacy again.
  • For Eiffel Master Scholarship: a candidate whose folder was not selected may not represent its application in the following years, even if they change their field of study.
  • Language level: institutions that screen non-francophone candidates must ensure that their language level is in line with the level required by the training course.

The programme focuses on three key subject areas of sciences, economics and management, law and political science. The areas of study concerned by the Eiffel scholarships are:
  • Sciences: Masters level (engineering sciences), PhD level (sciences in a broader sense -- engineering sciences, exact sciences such as mathematics, physics, chemistry and life sciences, nano- and bio-technology, earth and environmental sciences and information and communication sciences and technology)
  • Economics and Management
  • Law and Political sciences
Sponsorship duration
Master level courses: Maximum duration of 12 months when registering for M2, a maximum of 24 months when registering for M1 and maximum duration of 36 months when registering for an engineering science diploma.

PhD level courses: Maximum duration of 10 months. No language classes are offered for scientific and economic disciplines.

Scholarship benefits
The Eiffel programme does not cover tuition fees, though the higher education centres concerned are invited to apply the best possible financial conditions to Eiffel scholarship-holders. Enrolment fees at state-run higher education centres are waived for students on French government scholarship programmes such as this. 

Master courses: Eiffel scholarship-holders receive a monthly grant allowance of 1,181 Euros. In addition, various expenses including return travel, health insurance and cultural activities are covered. Scholarship-holders may also benefit from an additional accommodation allowance.

PhD courses: Eiffel PhD scholarship-holders receive a monthly allowance of 1,400 Euros (current applicable rate) with additional allowances for one international return trip (only one return trip will be reimbursed for law and political science students who undertake several stays in France), health insurance and cultural activities. Scholarship-holders may also benefit from an additional accommodation allowance.

Method of Application
EIFFEL scholarship applications are submitted by French Higher Education Institutions. Applications are not accepted from students themselves, or from non-French institutions. French higher education establishments shortlists the best overseas students whom they wish to enroll in their courses for Eiffel scholarships. You must meet the admission requirements of the French Institution in order to be considered. 

So to apply for the scholarship, you need to apply to a French higher institution and indicate that you wish to be nominated for the scholarship. You must read the 2017 Eiffel Program Guide and also visit the official website (link to it is found below) to access the Online Application Form and other detailed information on how to apply for this scholarship.

DEADLINE:
Applications opened on October 10th 2017, and will close on 12th January 2018. Application deadline to participating French Institutions may be earlier than this. It is advisable to apply to the school of your choice earlier than the stated deadline so that they can include you in their nomination.

Only foreign nationals are eligible to apply for a scholarship from the French Government. Applications from students currently studying outside France will be given priority over those from students already studying in France.

Brief description:
The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme was established by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development to enable French higher education establishments to attract top foreign students to enrol in their master’s and PhD courses.
The scholarship programme funds master’s courses lasting between 12 and 36 months and offers funding for PhD students to spend ten months in France through joint supervision or dual enrolment.

Scholarship value/inclusions/duration:
For Master’s level studies, the Eiffel scholarship includes a monthly allowance of €1,181 (a maintenance allowance of €1,031 and a monthly stipend of €150) and can be awarded for 12-36 months.  For PhD level studies, the Eiffel scholarship includes a monthly allowance of €1,400 and is awarded for a maximum of ten months.
In addition, the programme meets various expenses including international return trip, social security cover, and cultural activities. Scholarship holders may also receive an additional housing allowance, under certain conditions.
Tuition fees are not covered by the Eiffel Programme.

Eligibility:
Nationality: This programme is reserved for candidates of non-French nationality. Candidates with two nationalities, one of which is French, are not eligible.
Age: For master’s courses, candidates must be no older than 30 on the date of the selection committee meeting, 6 March 2017; at PhD level, candidates must be no older than 35 on the date of the selection committee meeting, 6 March 2017
Origin of applications: Only applications submitted by French educational establishments are accepted. These establishments undertake to enrol scholarship holders on the course for which they have been selected. Applications submitted by any other means shall not be considered. Furthermore, any candidate nominated by more than one establishment shall be disqualified.
Courses of study: Scholarships are for students wishing to enrol on a master’s course, including at an engineering school, and for PhD students. The Eiffel Programme does not apply to French-run master’s courses abroad, as non-PhD scholarship holders must complete at least 75% of their course in France. It does not apply to training under an apprenticeship contract or a professional training contract either.
Combination with other scholarships:Foreign students who, at the time of application, have already been awarded a French government scholarship under another programme are not eligible, even if the scholarship in question does not include social security cover.
For Eiffel PhD Scholarship: Establishments may nominate a candidate who was previously awarded an Eiffel scholarship at master’s level for a scholarship at PhD level. Candidates who have already been awarded an Eiffel scholarship once during their PhD cannot be awarded it for a second time. No application will be accepted for any student who applied previously but was rejected, even if the application is submitted by a different establishment or in another field of study.
For Eiffel Master Scholarship:  No application will be accepted for any student who applied previously but was rejected, even if the application is submitted by a different establishment or in another field of study. Students who have already been awarded an Eiffel scholarship at master’s level are not eligible to re-apply at master’s level.
Language skills: When pre-selecting non-French-speaking candidates, establishments must make sure that their language skills meet the requirements of the relevant course of study.
Students undertaking a course of study abroad take priority over those already living in France.

Applications are not accepted from students directly. Applications for EIFFEL scholarships are submitted by French Higher Education Institutions. You must apply and meet the requirements of the French Higher Education Institution in order to be considered for the scholarship.  The deadline for applications to Campus France is 6 January 2017. Application deadline to participating French Institutions is earlier and falls around November-December 2016.

Scholarship Description
INSEAD - The Business School for the World, in partnership with its MBA Class of '75 offers the INSEAD Nelson Mandela Endowed Scholarship to provide financial support for one or more African participants per year at INSEAD in perpetuity. 

Eligible candidates for the INSEAD Nelson Mandela Endowed Scholarship must be from a sub-Saharan African country and must have spent a substantial part of their lives in Africa.

INSEAD Scholarships are highly sought-after sources of financial assistance. They are limited in number and there is significant competition for each award. Qualified candidates are invited to apply for this award.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the Nelson Mandela Endowed Scholarship, candidates must be a national of a sub-Saharan African country and have spent a substantial part of their lives and received part of their prior education in Africa. 

Preference will be given to candidates who require proven financial assistance.

Selection criteria:
By way of their interests, activities and accomplishments candidates for this scholarship will need to demonstrate:
  1. outstanding academic achievement and promise
  2. aptitude for business and financial management
  3. strong likelihood of spending the better part of their working careers in Africa and
  4. a firm commitment to the goals of African development, understanding amongst peoples and public interest.
In awarding scholarships, INSEAD shall particularly seek candidates from southern Africa.

ESSAY TOPIC:
  1. In 350-400 words state why you wish to undertake the INSEAD MBA and why you feel it is relevant to your particular educational needs. Furthermore, explain how you envisage contributing to the future development of your country after graduation and discuss why you should be selected as the Nelson Mandela scholar in your class.
  2. In 200 words analyse what you consider to be the most significant issue relating to the society, politics, economics, or culture of your country or region today.
  3. In 150-200 words provide a concise but accurate description of your financial circumstances as well as a cash flow forecast for the year at INSEAD.

DEADLINES:
Each year, the submission of applications is for two classes -- the July class (starts in September) and the December class (starts in January). 

For the July 2018 class, application submissions for Round 1 OPENS 24th October 2016 and CLOSES 7th November 2016; while Round 2 applications OPEN 16th January 2017 and CLOSES 31st January 2017.

To honour the life and work of President Nelson Mandela of South Africa, the INSEAD MBA Class of '75 created an endowment at their 30th Class Reunion to provide financial support for one or more African participants per year at INSEAD in perpetuity. At their 5th reunion the Class of '01J contributed to this important scholarship fund, as did the Class of '97D on the occasion of their 10th reunion and the Class of '69 at their 40th reunion. Recently the “Atlantic Group" in the Class of ‘99D contributed.

Scholarship Description:
Sciences Po created the Emile Boutmy Scholarship after the founder of Sciences Po (1871) in order to attract the very best international students from outside of the European Union.

The Emile Boutmy Scholarship is awarded to top international students who are applying to or previously admitted at Sciences Po University, and whose profile match the admissions priorities and individual course requirements of the school.

The recipient of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Development Office and other departments, and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.

You must have received an unconditional offer for a Master’s Programme at UWE before you can apply for this scholarship. Applicants will need to provide information in their application detailing how the scholarship will help them to attain the Millennium Development goals within their country.

The University of the West of England, also known as UWE Bristol, or simply UWE (pronounced "you-we") is a university based in the British city of Bristol. Its main campus is at Frenchay in Bristol, about five miles (8 km) north of the city centre. UWE also has campuses at St Matthias and Glenside in north-east Bristol and Bower Ashton, near Ashton Court in south-west Bristol.
