THERE’S A NEW TABLET IN TOWN — LENOVO RUMORED TO RELEASE THE TAB3 8 PLUS

THERE’S A NEW TABLET IN
TOWN — LENOVO RUMORED
TO RELEASE THE TAB3 8 PLUS

Not pleased with the current bevy of tablet
options? You may soon be getting another
Plus have now been leaked, and according
to reports, the device will feature an 8-inch
Full-HD display, 3GB of RAM, and three
unique storage combinations with microSD
card support.
This latest tablet is an upgrade over its
original line of economical tablets released
back in February. The 8 Plus will be much
like its predecessor (the 8), but with a few
notable upgrades. Both the Full-HD panel
and the amount of RAM are improvements
over the original Lenovo Tab3 8, but there
are a number of other leaked specs we can
share as well — the Plus will allegedly boast
an 8MP main camera with LED flash, a 5MP
front camera, and feature 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and
Bluetooth connectivity, per leaks.
But perhaps most notably, the Lenovo Tab3
8 Plus will have a much newer chipset.
Abandoning the quad-core MediaTek one
found in the old model, Lenovo is now using
an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625
processor. Not only is this a faster
processor, but it’s also constructed using “a
superior 14nm process,” as GSM Arena
reports. It’s also an unusual choice for a
relatively budget tablet, and should also
greatly improve the battery life of the new
tablet.
Reports suggest that the device will still
maintain a relatively sleek design despite all
these improvements, weighing in at just 330
grams and measuring just 7.97 millimeters
thick. It’s unclear how much the 8 Plus will
cost, but it will likely be a bit more than the
Tab3 8, which originally set consumers back
$149 for the LTE model. We’ve yet to see
whether the other two tablets in the family
(the Lenovo Tab3 7 and Lenovo Tab3 10)
will also have Plus units of their own
