Android 7.0 Nougat update to bring Note7's Grace UX to the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge
Samsung is already testing Android 7.0 Nougat builds on the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, according to a report from a couple of days ago. But what is in the new software? Will you only find the improvements that Google's baked in, or is Samsung prepping some goodies of its own?Well, a new rumor today says it's the latter. Samsung will apparently bring the Grace UX that debuted in the Galaxy Note7 to the S7 and S7 edge alongside the Nougat update. The new UI will be joined by the expanded feature set for the Always On Display, which was also first seen in the Note7.
The new UI is reportedly performing better (or smoother) on the Galaxy S7 and the S7 edge than the software they're currently loaded with. That's certainly good news for owners of the flagship duo, yet it's unclear if the enhanced performance is thanks to Samsung's new interface, the underlying new Android release, or both of these factors. Either way, Nougat should be on its way to the S7 and S7 edge in a few months.
